This product teaser video for the launch of a new screwdriver had the brief that the product should never be clearly seen. I had the vision of a partially lit object on a plinth, with “lightning” going on around it.
Theatre Show promo for investors
We covered a 1 man show performed by breakout actor Matthew Jure. The intimate play was covered by 3 cameras, and the highlights of the show were compiled on a Theatre Show Promo DVD which was targeted at potential investors, directors and producers. Below is just one short clip.
The lighting setup was not altered for filming, and due to the nature of the performance no personal microphone could be worn.
Matthew is an award-winning actor whose critically acclaimed roles have included the amnesiac Man in arthouse film ‘Undertow’, obsessive-destructive mathematician Septimus Hodge in Tom Stoppard’s ‘Arcadia’ and the title role in ‘Macbeth’.
He has been nominated for 5 awards and has won 3: Best Newcomer (‘BIRSt’, BBC-SRA Awards), Best Actor in a Short Film (‘Undertow’, New York International Independent Film Festival) and Best Actor in a Feature Film (‘Starlight & Superfish’, Michigan Blue Water Film Festival).
Our largest ever live shoot – 5 cameras including 1 backstage taking interviews with the choirs before they performed.
As a hobby writer, filming stage plays is always a treat. In this instance, a 1-act, 1-room play gave me the inspiration to write a similar piece, which premiered in the same space the year after I shot this promo to promote a touring play.
