YouTube training and consultancy
This YouTube training services engagement was much briefer in nature than much of our work, but delivered great client value. We undertook a YouTube training session at the client’s office, walking them through all the basics of how the platform works, whilst setting up the new channel as we went.
Our advice incorporated how content might be created cost-effectively – important for a charity – and what pitfalls to avoid.
As part of the consultancy session we discussed keywords, an area where there was very little knowledge within the business. We regularly advise clients to use their website’s keywords, or those used in Adwords, as a good start point for keywording on YouTube. In this case, when we looked at the website I saw that the keywords were almost useless from any perspective. This gave the client further insight as to how to improve their existing web presence before even embarking on video work.
Playlisting of owned and external content helped to group the company’s activities, and creating above-the-fold playlists for the current event ensured viewers were directed there.
